Seconds was a was an unproduced Doctor Who novel by Lawrence Miles. It was pitched for the Virgin Missing Adventures series but was rejected by Simon Winstone for being too similar to Christmas on a Rational Planet.

Seconds would have been a Third Doctor story similar to The Italian Job and would have featured the first appearance of Faction Paradox. The Doctor would have led a band of criminals to raid the Matrix tapes from Gallifrey in the Whomobile.^[1]
