An untitled Doctor Who video game was announced as being in development in 1994 by SEGA for their Mega Drive console, in issue 22 of the British SEGA magazine, Mean Machines.

The game was alleged to be a tie-in to the then-rumoured upcoming Doctor Who TV movie.

Although no longer on our screens, a little dicky bird tells us that Sega is busy putting together a game based on the BBC's most famous time-traveller, Doctor Who. With the TV programme apparently about to undergo the Spielberg treatment and return to our screens sometime in the near future, Sega has taken delivery of a number of reference pieces to start putting together a background story. What aspects of the 30-year-old programme make it into the proposed Megadrive game haven't been decided, but we'll have more details as they materialise.Mean Machines #22[1]

It was eventually deemed cancelled, as further details never materialised.
