At the next day, during the filming of and episode of the show, the Doctor and Ally arrived and took Smith's script of his hands, trying to know how to get out of that universe. When a Cyberman appeared, this one got confused for the presence of the "two Doctors" thanks to Matt was wearing the costume. After the real Doctor used his TARDIS to get back the Cybermen to his world, Matt was perplex about the fact that his "character" was actually real. Before leaving, the Doctor told Matt that, if one day he wanted to leave the show, he recommended him to purpouse Peter Capaldi as his replacement. Matt saw with his own eyes how the real Doctor and his tardis disappeared, and asked Ally if she still was a fan of him, even after having met the real Doctor, to which she nodded. Ally told him that the Doctor "changed things", to what Matt, knowing the psychology of his character, affirmed that "That's what he does".
