After Daak (unproduced comic story)

(Redirected from After Daak (comic story))
After Daak was the proposed ten-issue miniseries written by Steve Moore around 1990, centred on the character of Abslom Daak. The story was planned with a less heavy four-issue miniseries intended to run before it; this fizzled out, partly because Marvel US wouldn't allow ten-issue miniseries and because they viewed Doctor Who as a dead brand. [1] The story's pitch was put online at Altered Vistas[2]. Indeed, the purpose of the series would have been to separate Daak from the DWU, with all Doctor Who aliens being removed from the series, including the Daleks.
Story notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The series would have seen the death of several recurring characters including; Selene, Harma and Salander, as well as Abslom Daak himself. Vol Mercurius would have been the only recurring character to survive and, with the story leaving the fate of new characters Melissa M'han and Klis Rojart ambiguous, he would have also been one of only two characters known to survive - alongside minor character Tanit.
- Altair-4 is given as Marcurius and Tanit's destination.
