Form 4G

Susan Foreman was in Form 4G at Coal Hill School — 4 for the year, and G for Grange, their form master — together with her friends John Brent and Gillian Roberts. First thing in the morning, as well as once in the afternoon, the form had to gather for Grange to do his attendance.

Early on, from before Susan came to school, students nicknamed their form master Ghastly Grange. An earlier Form 4G had added a lyric to Only the Lonely about Grange that went, "Lastly the Ghastly". Since then, the teacher did not allow them to so much as whistle it. (PROSE: Time and Relative)

While visiting the city Hisk, Barbara sadly observed the lack of human teachers involved in 25th century education, although Ian Chesterton humorously remarked that they were at least less unruly than Form 4G. (AUDIO: The Sleeping City)
