The Two Doctors was a proposed crossover between Doctor Who and the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange, featuring the Seventh Doctor and Ace. In 1991, Doctor Who script editor Andrew Cartmel pitched the idea to Marvel UK editor John Freeman. The plot concerned a rock band who made a deal with a demon to ensure their success. Artist Lee Sullivan also created at least two pieces of promotional art for the story. However, Marvel US editor-in-chief Tom DeFalco felt that the story would not be successful due to declining interest in Doctor Who following the 1989 hiatus, and it did not progress any further.[1]
