Leo was an Emperor of the Byzantine Empire in the 5th century, seated in Constantinople. He had a daughter, Ariadne, who bore him a grandson, also named Leo. During his reign, Flavius Theodoric—then known as Rithros—was held captive at the Byzantine court. Leo was eventually succeeded as Emperor by Zeno (PROSE: Goths and Robbers)
