The Time Museum was a Second Doctor comic story published in TV Comic Annual 1969.
Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
The TARDIS brings the Second Doctor, John and Gillian to the Time Museum of an ancient civilisation. Among the artefacts, they find what they think is a model of a Cyberman. It activates and calls others. The museum is a trap that will enable the Cybermen to kill their enemies. The Doctor destroys the Cybermen and one alerts others that will come. Finding Trod shells, they hid inside while more Cybermen come to look. Once they are at the far end of the museum they escape to the TARDIS.
Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]
Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Exhibits in the museum include a ray cannon used in First Century Universe War, a mini rocket from 2150, hollow models of the Trods and a space shuttle that orbited Earth in 1968.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Whether intentional or not, the title is a play on The Space Museum.
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The First Doctor, Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright, and Vicki previously visited a Space Museum filled with universal history, where the First Doctor hid inside an empty Dalek like how the space travellers hide within empty Trods. (TV: The Space Museum)
- Ian Chesterton would later be kidnapped into a Time Museum owned by Pendolin. Whether it's the same museum as the one depicted in this comic is unknown. (AUDIO: The Time Museum)
