Edward VII

Edward VII, also known as Bertie, was the king of the United Kingdom whose reign followed that of his mother, Queen Victoria. Before becoming king, he was the Prince of Wales. (AUDIO: The Death of Captain Jack) The Edwardian era was named after him. (PROSE: In Case of Emergencies)

Edward waited many years to become the king, and when he finally got the role he relished it. He had high spirits and enjoyed tending to his royal duties, as well as indulging in lavish breakfasts and plenty of deer hunting at his Scottish retreat of Balmoral Castle. (PROSE: Revenge of the Judoon)

In 1881, when he was known as "Prince Bertie", the Kraals attempted to replace Edward with an android duplicate, but the Doctor and Jenny Flint stopped them. (PROSE: Madame Vastra)
