Bradley was a student at Coal Hill School and member of the Coal Hill Year 8 Gifted and Talented Group. He was afraid of the dark, with him diagnosing himself as "darkness-phobic", and had an allergy to nuts and issues with anger management.
After a sleepover visit to a museum with the Gifted and Talented Group, Bradley and his teachers found London was covered in a forest overnight. With the trees blocking the coaches from reaching the museum and the student Maebh Arden having wandered off to Trafalgar Square, Bradley's teacher Danny Pink assigned him as navigator to find a way of orientating the group.
