Auteur was the title given to a proposed but ultimately aborted[source needed] Faction Paradox spin-off produced by Aristide Twain and Jacob Black.

The series would have featured titular character Auteur as well as Cousin Gideon, both of whom first appeared in A Bloody (And Public) Domaine, a short story in The Book of the Enemy. It would have been a direct continuation of the 2020 The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids crossover event.

Jacob Black's delightfully insane creation has been bouncing around the uncharted edges of the Doctor Who Multiverse long enough that guest-star status in other people's stories no longer satisfies him. Greedy old bag of bones that he is. Thus, because he demanded it (although it's not yet clear whether anybody else did), it is my immense privilege to announce— Auteur —an original DWU comic spin-off starring the Skull-Man of the Shadow Spire himself, as well as his long-suffering sidekick Gideon!Aristide Twain<ref>Aristide Twain: Auteur Returns
