Scavenger was the one hundred and eighty-fourth story in Big Finish's monthly range. It was written by William Gallagher and featured Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Lisa Greenwood as Flip Jackson.

Back on Earth, the Doctor fights to save Flip from becoming part of a 500-year tragedy being played out in orbit, hundreds of miles above. And millions will die if he fails.

Plot

Part one

The Doctor and Flip arrive at the Nelson Mandela international Space Station in 2071 which is orbiting above India they are discovered by Jyoti Cutlper. The Doctor and Flip see on the TV screen a news report on News Hub 5. The 2071 Space clean up. A newsreader is interviewing Jessica Allaway who is "troubleshooting" the event. Despite her being a cultural ambassador she has been asked to lead the mission. On the bridge Mission Controller Salim launches the salvage two. The space junk is called zombie satellites.

The main target is an envirmoment satalite an embsat satellite salvage 2 is going to consume it

The alarms go a power surge has hit the satalite. Salim takes over and only by Jessica he notices the flame. Salvage 2 has overshot the satellite. Salvage 2 is going to engulf the Mandela. The doctor goes in the Tardis to stop the Salvage 2. Flip stays behind to help get everyone to safety. The savage ship has been sabatoaged. Power is losing in mission control.
