North America was a continent on the planet Earth, located above Central and South America. It was inhabited by the Native Americans. (TV: "The Sea of Death") The Americas were separated from Europe and Africa to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. 21st century

In the 2000s, transducers used by the Slitheen briefly caused a massive power loss stretching westwards from the West Coast of North America, including Los Angeles. (TV: Revenge of the Slitheen)

By the 2000s, North America was part of the worldwide nuclear grid overseen by UNIT. (TV: The Poison Sky)

In the 2010s, the Mexico border was among the places where newly-hatched Zygons were settled across Earth as part of Operation Double, resulting in a minority of Zygons residing in New Mexico, USA under the pretence of being British migrants. (TV: The Zygon Invasion)

In Roma I, Marcus Americanius Scriptor's family ruled Northern America from their family home since Marcus' great-great-grandfather Americanus was sent to quell a republican revolution 140 years before Marcus' birth.
