In 2022, as part of the Master's Dalek Plan, the Daleks attempted to cause a volcano in Ecuador to erupt alongside volcanoes in Indonesia and Iceland, but were stopped by the Thirteenth Doctor using the energy from the Qurunx. (TV: The Power of the Doctor)
