2015 was, according to the Twelfth Doctor, an unimportant year in the grand scale of things. (PROSE: Big Bang Generation) However, during this year a number of major events occurred: the Hyperions and the Eight Legs both invaded Earth for several weeks, (COMIC: The Hyperion Empire, AUDIO: Worldwide Web) a Zygon revolution occurred, (TV: The Zygon Invasion, The Zygon Inversion) and the British prime minister was revealed to be a Sea Devil on live television. (COMIC: Clara Oswald and the School of Death)

Events[[edit] | [edit source]]

Dated[[edit] | [edit source]]

January - June[[edit] | [edit source]]

In January, Jeffries began living at Moon Village One. (COMIC: The Lunar Strangers)

A few months after Jack Odwards fell into the Gomagog wormhole in the River Thames in late 2014, the American television show The World's Strangest Mysteries travelled to London to do an episode on his disappearance. While filming an episode on Kronos Vad's History of Earth Volume 36,379, Jenni Marcel, the host of the show, met Iris Wildthyme and Edwin Turner. History of Earth Volume 36,379 detailed that the Gomagog would invade Earth that week, something that the Gomagog did not want humanity knowing. They changed history so that Sherlock Holmes died in 1911, meaning that he was not able to save the book. Iris fixed history and trapped the Gomagog ship in the same wormhole that swallowed Jack Odwards. (AUDIO: Kronos Vad's History of Earth (Vol. 36,379))

The Fifth Doctor, Tegan Jovanka, and Vislor Turlough land in Moon Village One tracking a signal from Ravnok's spaceship. (COMIC: The Lunar Strangers)

On 7 June, the Fifth Doctor, Tegan Jovanka and Turlough visited Moon Village One. Ravnok and Vartex also went to the moon this day; they got into the Moon Village by pretending to be peaceful talking cows. Freda Jackson, the astronaut in charge of the base, thought that she could make money from the talking cows, but the Doctor saw through their charade. Ravnok and Vartex messed with the base's nuclear reactor and set it to explode. Jeffries was shot as he tried to stop them. Vartex was shot by Jackson and Ravnok tried to escape, but died of lack of oxygen. The Doctor stopped the reactor from exploding. (COMIC: The Lunar Strangers)

After the last day of the Coal Hill School term, Clara Oswald was picked up in her flat by the Twelfth Doctor. (PROSE: Deep Time)

Hyperion invasion of Earth[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the summer, Earth was invaded and for several weeks enslaved by the last surviving Hyperions.

After sending surveillance probes across the galaxy, the Hyperions learned that the Time Lords had been destroyed during the Last Great Time War. Emerging from their hiding place on Neptune, the Hyperions went towards Earth with the intentions of using the planet and its population to create a fusion web around the Sun. The web would drain the sun of all its solar energy. The Hyperions planned on using the energy to prolong their lives.

The Hyperions' first contact with Earth came when they sent a scout ship. While passing through Earth's atmosphere, the ship collided with the International Space Station, burning all of the astronauts onboard. Their bodies were taken by the Hyperions and transmuted into fusion angels. The ship then crashed into Lake Windermere, evaporating the lake and killing hundreds. Three helicopters from RAF Spadeadam were sent to the crater formed by the ship. As they informed their officers that a spaceship caused the damage, the helicopters were shot down. The British Army were sent in under the command of UNIT, but they were killed as well. The Hyperions then broadcast a message across all of Earth: "Hyperios rises".

After the entire Hyperion fleet landed, they attacked London. Buildings were burnt down and the streets became covered in ashes from the people killed. Within days, all of Earth's armies were wiped out. The majority of the human population were taken prisoner by the Hyperions and forced to build parts for the fusion web. Those in London that escaped hid in the London Underground. The Hyperions erected walls of fire around their slave camps which incinerated any who got near.

A few weeks later, the Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald landed in London near Big Ben. They searched the city for people and met a fireman named Sam near Westminster Abbey. Sam took the Doctor and Clara to King's Cross station, where they encountered Kate Stewart. Kate declared that during the time of crisis the Doctor was President of Earth.

The Doctor, Clara, and Sam went to the camp in the remains of East Sussex and encountered a fusion angel that used to be Weir, one of the astronauts on the space station. They were chased back into the TARDIS, where Sam sprayed the angel with his fire extinguisher. The Doctor was able to help Weir regain her memories.

They went back to UNIT's underground base and prepared them for an attack on the East Sussex camp. The Doctor had learned that the final piece of the fusion web was being created there and was almost completed. They freed the slaves, but didn't stop the part from being finished. Before the final piece was inserted into the web, the Doctor hacked his TARDIS into it. When the web was completed, the Doctor was able to get into the Hyperions' control network with his TARDIS and send them five billion years into the future. Weir kept the Hyperions away from the controls as they were sent to an explosion too hot for even the Hyperions: the destruction of Earth's sun.

Two weeks after the fall of the Hyperion empire, the Twelfth Doctor brought the psychic essence of Colonel Weir to her home in Cape Cod. Weir floated into her daughter's room and kissed her forehead. (COMIC: The Hyperion Empire)

July and August[[edit] | [edit source]]

On 14 August, Iris Wildthyme played a game of interdimensional poker against a group of dangerous aliens in the Nebulon Constelation. After a Naxian called her bluff, she lost. In order to save her life, Iris made a deal with the aliens that she would organise a party for them in two days and she would make MIAOW pay for it.

On 15 August, MIAOW received a broadcast from a race of multidimensional beings who were planning on destroying all life on Earth. MIAOW contacted Iris and she helped negotiate with the aliens. MIAOW would provide the aliens with a party at the temple of the Lord of the Clock on Saturn's moon Iapetus.

On 16 August, MIAOW gave Iris a buffet table, a dozen crates of beer, and a karaoke machine, which she took to Iapetus. Iris singlehandedly prepared a party at the temple. (PROSE: Our Tune)

Shortly before the London University of History and Antiquity term began, Erimem was brought to London by a cult of professors worshipping Ash-Ama-Teseth. (PROSE: The Last Pharaoh)

In late August, the universe was affected by history being destroyed by Nikola Tesla. All of the stars went out and Mars ceased to exist. Erimem, Ibrahim Hadmani, and Helena were pulled by their time rings to New York City in 1895, where Helena fixed history. Everything was returned to normal and nobody except for Helena remembered it. (PROSE: Wardenclyffe)

September[[edit] | [edit source]]

Sometime after the Coal Hill School term began, Missy time froze all of Earth's planes in an attempt to get Clara Oswald's attention. This brief worldwide phenomenon ended when Missy released the planes at Clara's request. (TV: The Magician's Apprentice)

The Twelfth Doctor helped Clara's student Evie Hubbard with a history project by letting her meet Winston Churchill. After getting an "A", Evie decided to take a selfie with Clara to give as a thank you to the Doctor. Ashildr snuck into the background of the picture. Clara showed this selfie to the Doctor after he picked her up for their weekly adventure. (TV: The Woman Who Lived)

Five weeks after Erimem was brought to Earth, she was contacted by Isabella Dunn. Dunn told Erimem about how she had saved her life in 1942 Stalingrad. These events had not yet occurred for Erimem, so she went back in time with Andy Hansen to save Isabelle's life. When they returned, they attended Isabelle's 95th birthday party. (PROSE: The Beast of Stalingrad)

A group of Zygons calling themselves "Truth or Consequences" decided to rebel against the ceasefire created two years earlier by creating a divide between the humans and the Zygons living as humans. They began their rebellion by attacking the town Truth or Consequences and taking Osgood prisoner. Before she was captured, Osgood sent a message to the Twelfth Doctor, causing him to come to Earth and rendezvoused with UNIT. The Doctor then went to Turmezistan to rescue Osgood, while Kate Stewart went to New Mexico to investigate the town Truth or Consequences. With the UK left defenceless, the rebel Zygons started a plan that was a year in the making and kidnapped all the residents of London through the city's elevator shafts and kept them all in Zygon pods.

After the Doctor rescued Osgood, they returned to London in a plane, but it was shot down by Bonnie, the leader of the Zygon revolution. (TV: The Zygon Invasion) The Doctor and Osgood survived by parachuting out of the plane. A similar assassination attempt occurred in Truth or Consequences against Stewart, but she killed the Zygon and returned to London. Events climaxed when the Doctor, Osgood, Bonnie, and Stewart all gathered at the Black Archive. The Doctor was able to negotiate peace between Bonnie and Stewart and the revolution was called off. (TV: The Zygon Inversion)

In late September, Clara Oswald got a job at Ravenscaur School to investigate the disappearance of Christel Dean. Four days after Clara's arrival Daniel Claremont, the British Prime Minister, gave a speech on global warming at the school. The Twelfth Doctor sabotaged the event by activating the sprinkler system, which melted Claremont's disguise and revealed him to be a Sea Devil. (COMIC: Clara Oswald and the School of Death)

October - December[[edit] | [edit source]]

On 21 October, the Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller visited London. (AUDIO: The Eight Truths)

On 31 October, the Doctor Who episode The Zygon Invasion aired on BBC One at 8:15pm. (WC: The Zygon Isolation)

On 23 November, the Twelfth Doctor helped Clara Oswald celebrate her birthday by getting the Teselecta to cover for her at Coal Hill School. In the afternoon, the Doctor brought the Teselecta, a Ganger, a Zygon, and an Ood in a wig into his TARDIS and had them disguise themselves as Clara. The Doctor then brought Clara into the TARDIS to have a party with her duplicates. Clara didn't want to be around the aliens, so she had a slice of cake by herself. (COMIC: The Partying of the Ways)

In December, an issue of Doctor Who Adventures was published. The last episode of the ninth series of Doctor Who was broadcast shortly after. (PROSE: Dear Readers)

In mid-December, the Pyramid Eternia appeared in Sydney coming directly from Aztec Moon in the 51st century. Due to the fact that this was not an established event in history, time began unravelling. The Twelfth Doctor, Bernice Summerfield, Peter Summerfield, Ruth, Jack, Cyrrus Globb and Kik followed the Pyramid through time to get it out of 2015 and stop history from breaking.

On 22 December, the universe reached a breaking point. Spreading out from 2015, reality began breaking. The universe was both destroyed and created at the same time. The Doctor and friends went into the pyramid and the Doctor managed to talk to its creators: the Ancients of the Universe. The Doctor asked them to change history so that the Glamour, the object that attracted the pyramid to Sydney, never landed in Australia. They did just that and reality was saved because the pyramid never came to 2015. However, the population of Sydney still retained a sub-conscious memory of the events that had transpired. (PROSE: Big Bang Generation)

On 25 December, Andy Hansen convinced Erimem to take her to 1964 to get the book Doctor X in an Amazing Adventure in Space. (PROSE: In Search of Doctor X)

Also on Christmas, Ross McNamara went into his school's basement after he was dared to by his friend Dan Hinchliffe. Ross accidentally walked into a Helestican space ship that was trapped under the school and was transported to 2115. In the future, he met the Twelfth Doctor, who took him back to 2015. (PROSE: Haunted)

A Doctor Who Christmas special, which featured the return of River Song, was also broadcast on Christmas Day. (PROSE: Dear Readers)

The Seventh Doctor, Ace and Bernice Summerfield encountered Sutekh in Egypt. (AUDIO: The Vaults of Osiris)

Iris Wildthyme and Captain Edwin Turner encountered the Scorchies at a Brian Bonamy concert in Margate. (AUDIO: Comeback of the Scorchies)

While on their honeymoon, Joel and Gabby Finch met the Fifth Doctor at the Sistine Chapel. Later, on the last day of their honeymoon, they broke into a church which contained Michelangelo's statue of Moses. Inside, they found a Weeping Angel in the statue's place. A priest of the Order of the Three Angels trapped them with the angel and they were sent back in time to 1511. When they were in the past, Joel and Gabby changed history so that the Weeping Angel was trapped beneath the Sistine Chapel and the order was disbanded well before the 21st century. (AUDIO: Fallen Angels)

In Poland, Matteusz Andrzejewski came out as gay to his grandmother as she already knew and had requested he tell her so as to hear it from him. (TV: Detained)

The Missing Hour Occupancy — Hauntings of the Channel Islands by Malachi Yarrow was published. (PROSE: Pre-narrative Briefings, Subjective Interlock)

The relations between the United States and Cuba remained tense. The Eightfold Truth, which had been founded in the United Kingdom by Clark Goodman in 1987, had 244 million members worldwide. Its membership had increased fivefold since 2010. The British space programme was fully operational but retained its reputation for amateurism. (AUDIO: The Eight Truths)

By this time, Sally Morgan was a 15-year-old orphan who was living with her grandfather and Lysandra was a sergeant in the British Army. (AUDIO: Project: Nirvana)

S. Guerrier wrote an overview of Lesser Time Elemental noble houses, arguing that there were as many as nine castes, with the ninth being of significant Meta-Historical interest. (PROSE: Love & War [+]Loading...["Love & War (short story)"])

Undated adventures of the Eleventh Doctor[[edit] | [edit source]]

Zzagnar takes control of humanity. (COMIC: Give Free or Die)

A living story called Zzagnar tried to take over the Earth by giving itself away in free comics, books, magazines, and audio files. Anyone that read or listened to Zzagnar became under its control. Many car crashes occurred because people were reading while driving. The Eleventh Doctor, Alice Obiefune, John Jones, and ARC landed in Piccadilly Circus during the invasion. The Doctor took a Zzagnar comic into his TARDIS and used the telepathic circuits to drain Zzagnar out of fiction and into reality, making all of the books, comics, and magazines blank. Zzagnar stayed on Earth and became a popular comic book writer. (COMIC: Give Free or Die)

The Eternal Dogfight came to Earth. All of Earth panicked as a millennia old space war was fought at its border. This fear quickly ended when representatives from the two sides of the war met with Earth's leaders and announced that they "meant [humans] no harm". After that the war almost became entertainment; knowing that no danger could come to them, people began sitting back and just watching the explosions in the sky.

The Eleventh Doctor, Alice Obiefune, John Jones, and ARC landed in Hackney during this time and went to the Amstron mothership to stop the war. (COMIC: The Eternal Dogfight) They were captured and learned of the way to stop the war: two representatives of Earth had to go through the Gate of Creation and survive. Alice and John went through the gate, returned to N-Space successfully, and told the warring races what they saw. The war ended and the spaceships left Earth. (COMIC: The Infinite Astronaut)

After the Eleventh Doctor lost his TARDIS, it was attracted to the nearest Time Lord, which was the Talent Scout in the form of the Doctor's mother. The Doctor followed his TARDIS to London in summer 2015 with the help of John Jones. John chased the Talent Scout through London on top of the Entity in the form of a dragon. He caught the TARDIS and the Doctor took the Talent Scout back to the Entity. (COMIC: The Comfort of the Good)

Alternate timelines[[edit] | [edit source]]

Earth is swallowed by the black hole created by the Hand of Omega. (AUDIO: Intervention Earth)

In a version of history where Omega escaped from the anti-matter universe in 2986 BC and the Sun was turned into a black hole, the Earth could not support any life by 2015. Ace and Rexxasalonolan visited this version Earth in 2015 less than an hour before it was swallowed by the black hole. They discovered the Hand of Omega and escaped in Ace's TARDIS less than a minute before it was destroyed.

When Ace was on the derelict Earth, she saw many echoes of other possible timelines. She saw a crowd of happy people, a passing car, and a launching spaceship. (AUDIO: Intervention Earth)

Other realities[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Doctor and his companions in the Dream Lord's world. (TV: Amy's Choice)

A dream created by the Dream Lord was set in this year. In it, the Eleventh Doctor returned to Amy Pond and Rory Williams in Upper Leadworth on the day before Amy would give birth to her first child. The Doctor, Amy and Rory were pursued by the Eknodine. The three alternated between this dream and another dream set onboard a dead TARDIS headed for a cold star. The Dream Lord led them to believe one of the dreams was reality. With Rory killed by the Eknodine, Amy decided she was willing to risk her life if it meant there was a chance of seeing Rory again. She crashed a van into a house, killing herself and the Doctor in the dream and "waking them up" on the TARDIS, bound for the cold star. They then flew away. (TV: Amy's Choice)

Other[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Fourth Doctor attempted to take Leela to London in 2015; they ended up in the city on 30 January 2025. (AUDIO: Energy of the Daleks)
