Somalia was a country in Africa. A civil war broke out there and was still being fought in the early 21st century. However, in the wake of Miracle Day in 2011, fighting in Somalia ceased. The combatants were not willing to fight enemies who would not die. (TV: The New World)
Shortly before the 2150s Dalek invasion of Earth, Somalia, along with the rest of Africa, was ravaged by a plague sent by the Daleks. Even in the late 26th century, Somalia and Kenya were still sites of massive bio-infection. (PROSE: The Sword of Forever)
