The Dalek Fleet, (COMIC: The Brain Tappers, TV: Bad Wolf) also known as the Dalek Imperial Fleet when controlled by the Emperor, was the massive space fleet of flying saucers and battlecruisers used by the Daleks at various points in the species' existence. It worked side-by-side with the Dalek army branch.

Several Dalek Fleets participated in a series of major wars which occurred "before" the Time War.

The Dalek command battle fleet during the Second Dalek War consisted of the ultimate flagship, an Exterminator-class vessel by the name of the Exterminator under the command of the Dalek Inquisitor General. The Tenth Doctor was accidentally taken back to the war by the TARDIS and helped to destroy the Exterminator and its provisions. The Daleks launched over a thousand Dalek Saucers into the Time Vortex; these forces were stopped by the Eighth Doctor, who left them trapped in the vortex. The Dalek Empire of the Seriphia Galaxy launched its largest fleet to begin the invasion of Mutter's Spiral and begin the Second Great Dalek Occupation. The fleet was commanded by the Imperial Command Ship. A Dalek Fleet was sent to invade Vega 6 to collect large amounts of veganite, and another fleet invaded Guria, but was destroyed by Earth Alliance battle cruisers. However, the Daleks began the second invasion of Guria, and another Dalek fleet destroyed the orbital fleet left behind by Earth Alliance. In one account of the Imperial-Renegade Dalek Civil War, the Imperial Daleks had triumphed and branded their new state as the Dalek "Restoration Empire". As this new state established itself, the Emperor received a message from "The Last Dalek". (PROSE: The Restoration Empire, The Last Message) Yearning for more information, they unleashed an assault on Islos. However, the Archivians of Islos had bargained with an Entity as a means of protection. (WC: The Archive of Islos) This Entity destroyed much of the Restoration Empire. By the time the Empire engaged in a war with the Hond, the fleet had been rebuilt but the threat had forced it to fall back to Skaro. After forcing the Tenth Doctor to help with their Hond problem, the Empire would then force the Eighth Doctor to work with them, and their newly anointed Dalek Time Squad, to discover the source of their message. (COMIC: Defender of the Daleks) This led them to the Dark Times, and sparked the Battle of Mordeela, which saw the Tenth Doctor and the Victis Fleet, fighting against the Eighth and Ninth Doctors, the Dalek Time Squad and the Vampires. The Battle of Mordeela was an attempt to subdue the Tenth Doctor, who was now under the new guise of the Time Lord Victorious. The Tenth Doctor's actions would cause the genocide of the Kotturuh. During the Tenth Dalek Occupation, the Daleks disappeared from normal space, (PROSE: A Brief History of Time Lords) into the Time Vortex where they constructed a fleet, (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) with which to wage war against the Time Lords in the Last Great Time War. (TV: Dalek) Shortly after the official start of the Time War, a massive Dalek fleet took out the Sunari and the Unvoss in one hit. (AUDIO: Desperate Measures)
In the first year of the Time War, the Time Lords detonated a nearby star to destroy the Dalek fleet, hoping that the show of power would deter the Daleks from fighting. While the fleet was destroyed, the Dalek war effort continued. (PROSE: The Third Wise Man)
Inspired by a projection of the total collapse event, Time Lord Weapons Architects explored the possibilities of exploiting Localised Event-Collapse Time Fields as a means of petrifying whole fleets of Daleks. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual)
In the later years of the Time War, the Daleks massed a large time fleet at Omega One for a final attack on Gallifrey only to be destroyed by the War Doctor using a Time Destructor. (AUDIO: The Innocent) After Vassarian had been captured by the Sontarans, he manipulated them into attracting the Dalek fleet. After Vassarian died, disabling the Sontaran temporal defences, the Dalek fleet initiated an orbital bombardment of Rovidia, destroying the Sontaran compound. (AUDIO: The Eternity Cage) The fleet then fought off the Rovidian space forces, ultimately destroying them. (AUDIO: Eye of Harmony) After the Time Strategist's latest plan had left the Doctor without a TARDIS, the Strategist ordered the fleet to pursue him. During its hunt, the fleet destroyed Beltox. The Dalek fleet caught up with the Doctor at Grend but was hampered by the properties of the Obsidian Nebula. With no choice, the fleet retreated, though the Strategist was confident in their ultimate plan. (AUDIO: The Enigma Dimension)
Another fleet was destroyed by the released Great Vampires, their weapons unable to damage the aliens. (COMIC: The Bidding War) Another Dalek fleet tried to claim the weapon factories at Villengard, retreating when the War Doctor detonated a molecular fruit bomb that turned the factories into a banana grove. In the prelude to the Battle for the Tantalus Eye, the War Doctor led a Battle TARDIS fleet in destroying the Dalek fleet guarding the Tantalus Eye, only for the Time Lords to be ambushed by Dalek stealth ships.
After being ordered by Rassilon to use the Tear of Isha to close the Tantalus Eye, Commander Partheus led a Time Lord armada against the Dalek fleet. Though initially making strides, the Time Lords retreated once the War Doctor had disposed of the Tear. (PROSE: Engines of War)
The final battle of the Time War was an all-out assault on Gallifrey, personally led by the Dalek Emperor himself aboard the Dalek Flagship. The fleet consisted of virtually the entire Dalek Empire. In the last moments, the Dalek fleet surrounded Gallifrey and fired on it constantly. When thirteen different incarnations of the Doctor saved Gallifrey by placing it in a pocket universe, the planet's sudden disappearance resulted in the Dalek Fleet destroying itself in its own massive crossfire, though a Dalek Attack Ship was blasted away and survived. The Emperor's hybrid fleet[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Emperor barely survived the Time War aboard his heavily-damaged Flagship and was flung into the far future. In hiding for several hundred years, he slowly repaired the Flagship and created a new Dalek Fleet of 200 smaller saucers. By 200,100, he had almost half a million Daleks, including roughly 2000 Daleks aboard each of the smaller vessels. This fleet consisted of Daleks which were engineered using dead human cells. As such, they developed a twisted concept of religion, and the Ninth Doctor deemed them insane since they were hybrids who hated their own flesh. This fleet participated in the Battle of the Game Station and bombarded Earth, deforming whole continents. However, the Emperor, his entire fleet, and all the hybrid Daleks were divided into atoms by the Bad Wolf entity within Rose Tyler. (TV: Bad Wolf / The Parting of the Ways)

The New Dalek Empire fleet[[edit] | [edit source]]
The final survivor of the original Dalek Empire, Dalek Caan, travelled back in time and rescued Davros from the Time War. Davros then used cells from his own body to create the New Dalek Empire. This new force consisted of a massive fleet centred around a planet-sized space station called the Crucible, all of which were hiding within the Medusa Cascade. A group of 200 flying saucers was dispatched from the Crucible and undertook the 21st century Dalek invasion of Earth in 2009. They succeeded, (TV: The Stolen Earth) and began the countdown on their reality bomb so that it could kill all life in every universe except for the Daleks. However, the New Empire was betrayed by Dalek Caan, and the Reality Bomb was disabled by the DoctorDonna. Then, the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor used the hardware of the Crucible to overload the dalekanium power feeds. This caused the Crucible, the whole fleet, and the individual Daleks themselves to explode. (TV: Journey's End)

A single saucer survived the fall of the New Dalek Empire, (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) falling through time to World War II. The three Daleks on board found the last Dalek Progenitor device, which created the first five individuals of the New Dalek Paradigm. The new Daleks exterminated their three forebears, and then escaped in the saucer. (TV: Victory of the Daleks) Using the production facilities of Goth, the Paradigm quickly built itself a fleet. A fleet of Dalek saucers were used during an attack on Earth's top secret Station 7 when searching for an experimentation on Dalek nature to make them less aggressive. The fleet was destroyed on the planet below the station by a deliberate eruption planned by the Eleventh Doctor and allies. (COMIC: The Only Good Dalek)
At Stonehenge, while scanning for ships, the Eleventh Doctor found Dalek ships in orbit and, thinking it was only the Daleks, stated that a Dalek fleet would have a minimum of 12,000 ships "armed to the teeth". With the reinvention of the Dalek Empire into the Resurrected Dalek Empire, the saucer Nacrana Va Hateen, carrying the Parliament of the Daleks, was designated the new Dalek capital. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) The Prime Minister of the Daleks ordered the abduction of the Eleventh Doctor and his companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams, summoning them to the Parliament and forcing them on a mission to lower the indestructible force field of the Dalek Asylum. Once this had been achieved by Oswin Oswald (a human-turned-Dalek), the Dalek fleet bombarded and successfully destroyed the entire planet. But just beforehand, Oswin erased all information about the Doctor from the pathweb (memory) of the New Dalek Paradigm. The members of the Parliament were therefore unable to recognise him when the Doctor teleported onto the Parliament's ship, and they repeatedly asked the Question: "Doctor Who?". Along with the rest of the universe, the resurrected Dalek Empire sent a fleet to Trenzalore in response to a repeating transmission in what would become known as the Siege of Trenzalore. Upon discovering that the signal was of Time Lord origin, the orbiting fleet called for reinforcements to attack the Papal Mainframe.
When turning Tasha Lem into a Dalek puppet allowed them to regain their memories of the Doctor, the Daleks committed the entirety of their might to preventing the return of the Time Lords, the fleet bombing the planet until its protective shield failed. A Dalek reconnaissance scout, suggested by the Thirteenth Doctor to be the first to leave Skaro, landed on Earth in the 9th century and resurfaced in 2019, where it attempted to use human communications technology to summon the Dalek invasion fleet for an invasion of Earth. A Dalek fleet, one operating either during the Dalek Wars, (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe, The Secret Lives of Monsters) the Great War, (PROSE: The Whoniverse) or from a time succeeding the Siege of Trenzalore, (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual) fought against the Combined Galactic Resistance. A saucer chased a Resistance ship piloted by Journey Blue and her brother, attempting to destroy it and kill the two. The Twelfth Doctor succeeded in rescuing Journey, but her brother died. After "Rusty" turned evil again, he sent out a distress signal from the Aristotle, and the saucer docked with the ship, dispatching boarding Daleks to slaughter the crew. At first they were successful, but the efforts of the Doctor and Clara Oswald turned "Rusty" against his own kind once more, and he slaughtered the other Daleks on board. "Rusty" then ordered the saucer to retreat, telling the crew that the humans had activated the Aristotle's self-destruct. Fearing destruction and believing their mission accomplished, the saucer retreated with "Rusty" joining the resistance to continue his campaign against his species. During the Dalek invasion of Omnia, a Dalek Supreme was delivered to the planet via a Dalek fleet. When the Sixth Doctor convinced the Dalek collaborator Carmen Rega to turn on her masters, she overloaded the fleet's vitanium supplies, destroying the flagship and unleashing a lethal amount of vitanium radiation that destroyed the escort ships. In a timeline caused by a collision of two versions of the Doctor's TARDIS, the First Doctor never made it to Kembel, allowing the Daleks to complete the Time Destructor. With their weapon, the Dalek fleet travelled the universe, unleashing it on whatever world resisted. - The Doctor Who website featured an image, a modification of one depicting the Dalek Fleet over Earth during the Battle of the Game Station, of multiple Dalek saucers engulfed in flames over a burning planet, consistent with one account of the fall of Gallifrey.
- James Johnson's "headcanon"[1] for his Time War-era Dalek Commander, which was featured on the cover of Gallifrey: War Room 1: Allegiance, was that the Commanders were connected by a private pathweb to other units across the fleet, allowing the instant sharing of tactical and military planning information.[2][3]
