The 43rd issue of Doctor Who Weekly had a cover date of 7 August 1980. It was the final issue of the weekly run of magazines. With the following issue shifting to a monthly publication schedule and a new name, changing from Doctor Who Weekly to Doctor Who - A Marvel Monthly.
The front cover proclaims "THE DALEK TAPES - FEATURING THIS WEEK: THE DALEKS' CONQUEST OF THE HIDDEN PLANET!", but this comic strip does not appear inside the magazine.
