The 384th issue of Doctor Who Magazine was current from 28 June through 25 July 2007.

It centred around the return of the Master in the revived series and had the two actors who played his newest incarnations on the cover, Derek Jacobi and John Simm.

This issue had two covers that reflected the different Masters and their personalities: a warm-coloured background with the wild and hot-blooded the Saxon Master in focus, and a cool-coloured background with the cruel and cold-hearted the War Master in focus. Notably, on both covers, the sticker that normally displayed "TV's No. 1 Hero" as a tagline for the magazine had the word "Hero" crossed out, and below the sticker was the word "Villain!" in marker.
