The First Doctor and his granddaughter nearly stole a faulty TARDIS from a repair shop when they were leaving Gallifrey.
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
As the Doctor had told his first TARDIS when they reunited after six centuries, (AUDIO: Prisoners of Fate) he had been leaving in a hurry, and he had to steal the first TARDIS he could "lay his hands on," so he couldn't take his old Type 50.
However, an echo of Clara Oswald appeared and told him he was making "a very big mistake" by stealing the wrong TARDIS. She convinced him to steal a TARDIS with a "knackered" navigation system that would be "much more fun". (TV: The Name of the Doctor)
Susan had already entered the TARDIS, finding its atmosphere to be unwelcoming and cold, but after his discussion with Clara's echo, the Doctor pulled her out and ushered her into the neighbouring TARDIS. (AUDIO: The Beginning)
