AWOL was the second story of Volume 12 of Big Finish Productions' Short Trips series. It was written by Angus Dunican and featured Jon Culshaw as the Third Doctor, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and Captain Munro.

Publisher's summary

In the short time the Doctor’s worked for UNIT, he’s become an invaluable part of the team. Yet, he’s gone missing. For the Brigadier, the tricky part isn’t going to be tracking him down. The tricky part is going to be convincing the Doctor to come back.

Notes

  • Unusual for a Short Trips story, Jon Culshaw performs the story as an audio drama (portraying all-three characters in the play) rather than narrated from the third person. The same format was used for The Threshold in Short Trips: Volume 11, which was also performed by Culshaw.
