Nicaragua was a nation which existed in the 21st century.
The Nicaraguan Canal was located there. On 24 August 2067, the cruise liner President became jammed across the Canal. International Rescue worked to refloat the liner but as they did so Nicaraguan troops moved into position ten miles from the canal zone. If the rescue organisation failed to refloat the President and "straighten out" the rebels within twenty-four hours, the army were ordered to move into action. (PROSE: TB4 Trapped Under Liner)
