The 450th issue of the Doctor Who Magazine was cover dated September 2012.
This was the first issue of the magazine to bear solely a month for a cover date since DWM 163 in August of 1990.
It had a higher page count than usual, to celebrate the milestone of the 450th issue.
It was issued under two covers that were largely the same, with the "commemorative" edition simply having less clutter than the other version. Its content stressed Patrick Troughton's era of the programme, and Matt Smith's appreciation of it.
