Issue 340 of Doctor Who Magazine was current 1 April through 28 April 2004. As it had upon the announcement of previous Doctors, the cover carried the line "Christopher Eccleston is the Doctor". This would be Eccleston's cover debut as the actor slated to portray the Ninth Doctor when Doctor Who came back on the air little under a year later.
