The 489th issue of Doctor Who Magazine was cover dated September 2015.
It celebrated the release of Colin Baker's long-awaited performance as the Sixth Doctor in an official regeneration story, The Sixth Doctor: The Last Adventure, giving him a cover that finally reflected his official exit and respectfully served as a belated sendoff issue that paid tribute to his incarnation of the Doctor in return. The last time Colin was still recognised as the then-current incarnation of the Doctor was on the cover of DWM 122.
