Alice MacLeod

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Alice MacLeod, also known as Alice the Songbird or simply Songbird, was a legendary revolutionary hero from the 10,000 Dawns.

Graelyn Scythes first met and befriended one version of Alice, who was part of her dimension's World Revolutionary Council. Her friends and fellow members included Jack O'Conner, Treyvon, Yi, Chantelle and Shona. Alice became aware of the multiverse, and believed that Graelyn went on to meet many other versions of her. When she had various visions of "friends, enemies [and] strangers" from across reality as she travelled from the Plume Coteries' Library through a crystalline incision portal aimed by her subconscious, Graelyn Scythes glimpsed "Alice MacLeod, giving some sort of big speech".

Subsequently, Alice was among the inhabitants of the 10,000 Dawns who were abducted out of time and space by the painted warriors due to Auteur tricking the Original Mammoths into thinking the Dawns were a threat to them, and then subsequently turned into fiction by Auteur herself using a gauntlet stolen from her people. Like many notable heroes from the Dawns, Alice was turned into a film series. A trailer for Songbird 3: The Fall of Kings was just coming out within Auteur's Town when the deaged Graelyn Scythes was ten. By the time Graelyn was seventeen, a Songbird IV: Revolution Rising also existed. There was also a Songbird Knight 2: Dragons Rising, where, as the title implied, she and her band of revolutionaries (including Jack) were reimagined in a high-fantasy context, riding giant dragonflies in battle against the Kingdom of Centro. Dragons Rising featured Centro bringing back actual dragons to fight them.

Eventually, Graelyn succeeded in figuring out what Auteur had done, and coaxed the 10,000 Dawns natives out of the screen at the cinema in secret before taking the Town by surprise. She "swooped about" in the sky of the Town on the back of "her dragon", while Jack and Aladdin took on the cultists on the ground. They were all briefly fictionalised again after Auteur deceptively surrendered, but soon enough, Graelyn was able to turn the situation to her advantage and use the gauntlet to undo everything Auteur had used it for, returning everyone to their proper realities. The version of Alice originally encountered by Graelyn was later among the friends of Graelyn's from across the Multiverse who answered Arch's call to send Graelyn video greetings on her birthday to make up for her having to spend it in quarantine. (PROSE: Birthdays are Made for Memories)
