Council of the Great Assimilation

The Council of the Great Assimilation was the ruling body of the Great Assimilation, together with the three joint Emperors.
As part of their bid to the Strid to convince them to hand over the Book of Books, Hyperion and Galvin, representatives of the Council, told them that after emigrating to one of the worlds under the Assimilation's control, the Strid, "with [their] skills at information gathering", would soon be "on the shortlist" to gain a position on the Council. The point ultimately became moot after Rachel Edwards forced the Strid to hand the book over to her. (PROSE: Rachel Survived)
