Being of light (Sonnenblumen)
One being of light was among the beings of such nature who existed in one of the universes in the 10,000 Dawns. Like the others, they had once been a human being, and had survived the death of their organic body as a creature of light and heat who joined previous generations within the Sun.
After the Galaxy Accident, the beings of light were separated from their heat and physical powers, which incarnated themselves as the mindless, yearning Invisible Infernos. The beings of light were then scattered across the 10,000 Dawns, with the Infernos travelling across the universes to try and rejoin with them, heedless of the destruction they caused on the way. This particular being of light found their way to one Dawn in what happened to be the house of the local counterpart of a survivor of a different Dawn's destruction, who was travelling with Coloth and Rich to try and stop the Infernos. The being of light jumped into the pages of a book the human survivor borrowed from the house, and thus hitched a ride back to Spiral.
There, they took advantage of the survivor reading the book in their garden to transfer into one of the sunflowers they were growing, as did many other beings of light who'd found their way to Spiral by similar means. This caused all the sunflowers to point towards the portal to their native Dawn instead of pointing to Spiral's Sun. Coloth eventually realised what this meant and, absorbing the beings of light into his own vegetal body to transport them, travelled to the ruin Dawn with Rich and the gardener. There, while most beings of light returned to the Sun, this one took advantage of the reflective glass floor of the melted city to jump into the gardener's reflection and then psychically explain the whole situation to them. To their surprise, the gardener then told them of their intention to remain in the ruined Dawn and help rebuild it; as part of their garden (albeit in a new form), they still considered the being of light to be their responsibility. This entity acts as the first-person narrator of Sonnenblumen, and, as such, is never given a name or even gender.
