Firmament (The Gendar Conspiracy)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

As part of her plan to use the power of the 10,000 Dawns to bring an end to the war in her own universe, Auteur (PROSE: White Canvas) teamed up with several other individuals, including a rogue Firmament who wore blue robes with a beaked hood, as well as two Knight of Sky, one of whom was Artillo Brinzo.

After they retrieved an urn from Vo'lach Prime which allowed Auteur to regain access to her stash of notes on Gendar (after Virtuoso had sent it to Vo'lach Prime to prevent the cache from being opened), Auteur and Brinzo decided to dispense with the excess of members, and tried to kill the three other conspirators. The other Knight was thus left dead in a pit on Vo'lach, alongside another one of the conspirators. The rogue Firmament, however, managed to cling to life. He followed the others to Gendar and, stumbling out of the desert, used the power of a gauntlet he wore to transfer his injury and exhaustion onto Drezen Hael, an uninvolved bystander, who died instead of him.

He then made his way to the statue of the Goddess, being outraged when he realised she and Auteur were one and the same and the entire existence of Gendar, as well as its people's accompanying religion, were a vast con perpetratd by Auteur. Seeing red, he bloodily fought his way past a line of tourist outside the Temple, but when he found the cache, it had already been opened and the crucial documents therein retrieved. He waited there until he was joined by Virtuoso, Sergeant-Instructor Littlejohn and the Arbiter of Knives, allowing him to reveal Gendar's true nature to them. However, he refused to be taken into custody by the Arbiter, as he fully expected Auteur to go forward with her plan of annihilating the Dawns and thus didn't want to be anywhere near them. Attempting to use his life-force-sucking gauntlet on Littlejohn, he sucked out the time he contained, briefly being hurled back to his own beginning; he had no more luck trying it on the Arbiter of Knives, as he ended up absorbing the knives she contained and bleeding out from the inside.

While his body was taken back to Gendar by the Arbiter, his soul, losing its memories due to the distance, was reborn in a new body. As the Arbiter of Resurrection helped him back to life, the amnesiac Firmament could not shake the feeling that he had done this before. (PROSE: The Gendar Conspiracy)
