Ashlyn Oswin

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Ashlyn was the ex-girlfriend of Graelyn Scythes. They parted ways somewhat abruptly on Graelyn's birthday, though they ultimately remained on good terms, though preferring not to bring up their past relationship.

She eventually started travelling through the 10,000 Dawns with the Tourist alongside Shona, Pathway and Miranda. The group were among Graelyn's friends from across the multiverse who answered Archimedes Von Ahnerabe's call for video greetings when Graelyn was forced to spend her birthday in quarantine. The girls' video was, however, somewhat awkward due to Shona blithely bringing up Ashlyn's status as Graelyn's ex. (PROSE: Birthdays are Made for Memories)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | edit source]

Ashlyn Oswin as depicted on the cover of The Forgotten Heroines of 10,000 Dawns.

This character is Ashlyn Oswin, a recurring character of the 10,000 Dawns series. She was drawn in illustrations with the understanding that she resembled actress Jenna Coleman, better known to Doctor Who fans for the part of Clara Oswald.

The 2020 short story Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot, part of the 10,000 Dawns April Fools' Day spinoff The Forgotten Heroines of 10,000 Dawns, suggested that Ashlyn's resemblance to Clara from the Doctor's universe was in fact no coincidence, as Ashlyn was a lost splinter of Clara's — and even that she was the individual posing as Clara whom the Twelfth Doctor briefly interacted with in Twice Upon a Time, rather than actually Clara herself as was the official intent. As this release contained no pre-existing license to any DWU concepts, merely including just this instance of mere implication, it is not covered by this Wiki.
