Greece, also known as the Hellenic Republic, (TV: Children of Earth: Day Three) was a country in southern Europe, on Earth. Aliens frequently became involved in its history. Major Greek cities included Athens (eventually its capital city), Sparta and Delphi.
Greece had access to Mediterranean Sea (PROSE: The Stone House) and shared a border with Bulgaria. (PROSE: The Touch of the Nurazh)

In April 1941, the forces of Nazi Germany invaded Greece as World War II spread into Eastern Europe. The British fought against the Germans there. On 19 April, the Germans outflanked the British on the Pindus Mountains and forced them to withdraw. On 23 April, the British Army began to evacuate Greece. (PROSE: Just War) The Germans subsequently took control of the Greek islands.
