- The second Dalek explains that the Daleks' master plan is to play dead until Episode 13 and then jump up and exterminate the pants off of everyone. The first Dalek thinks the plan can't possibly fail.

- Although none of this is elaborated upon in this story, the narrative is very clearly a reference to the apparent defeat of the Daleks from the Time Destructor on Kembel in the twelfth and final episode of The Daleks' Master Plan. DWM 183 included a full feature article by David Richardson about the making of Master Plan.
