How To Be A Companion (short story)
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
How To Be A Companion was the first prose feature in It's Bigger on the Inside!. It was presented as a false production document.

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Jamie is noted to be "either a Yorkshire farmer or maybe a Scottish Highlander from the Jacobite Rebellion, depending on what the costumes department has going spare".
- Jo Grant is defined as a "new type of companion" by the fact that whenever she sees a Dalek, she not only screams but takes her clothes off.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The joke about Jo Grant taking her clothes off when she sees a Dalek is a reference to the famous photoshoot wherein which Katy Manning, who played Jo on television, posed nude with a Dalek prop.
- Though it is not considered a valid source on this Wiki due to its fourth-wall-breaking and parodical nature, How To Be A Companion is notable as one of the few examples of licensed Doctor Who fiction using the terms "Romana I" and "Romana II" to refer to the two televised regenerations of Romanadvoratrelundar.
