Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Decayed Master disproves the Fourth Doctor's notion that he is the Deadly Assassin.
Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]
Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The Master proves he is not the deadly assassin by providing eyewitnesses that state his whereabouts elsewhere at the time of the assassination. One provides the Master's severed leg, another his arm and another his ear.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- This story refers heavily to the events of The Deadly Assassin [+]Loading...["The Deadly Assassin (TV story)"], in which Goth killed the Lord President whilst under the Decayed Master's control. This story humourously implies the Master was the one who was assassinated by playing off of his charred state in that story. DWM 187 featured an archive feature on The Deadly Assassin.
- This story marked the sole appearance of the incarnation of the Master played by Peter Pratt in the Doctor Who? series. The Roger Delgado and Anthony Ainley versions had both previously appeared.
