From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
The fortieth instalment of Doctor Who? was printed in DWM 103 with a cover date of August 1985.
Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Sixth Doctor and Peri search London Zoo for the TARDIS in the chameleon enclosure.
Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]
Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The Doctor remembers that the reason he never fixed the chameleon circuit was because of the possibility of the TARDIS landing in a chameleon enclosure in a zoo and actually disguising itself as one of the animals.
- Peri left the bath running in the TARDIS bathroom.
- The chameleon enclosure at London Zoo is adjacent to the lionhouse.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- A story focusing on the disadvantages of the Doctor fixing the chameleon circuit was also realised in DWM 85's instalment of the Doctor Who? series. However, unlike that story, this one was released soon after the broadcast of Attack of the Cybermen, which featured the Sixth Doctor briefly fix the circuit for the first time in the history of the programme.
- This instalment was also used in place of a new story in DWM 105. This marked the first issue of Doctor Who Magazine that did not feature a new instalment of the series since DWM 63, the issue before its creation. It's Even Bigger on the Inside explains that an early version of Doctor Who? 150 was originally marked up for publication in DWM 103 while this one was intended for DWM 105, summarising that it served as a last-minute replacement that wasn't, itself, replaced.
