- The Average Intelligence ponders that he could become the Great Intelligence with his current set of encyclopaedias.
- The nurse tells the doctor to slap the newborn Master. The Master thinks he'll have his revenge on this Doctor.
- A designer tells the Guardian that they are out of his usual plaid and only have some white material.

- This story depicted the origin stories for the Great Intelligence and White Guardian, unsurprisingly at odds with other Doctor Who universe sources. It was also notable for featuring the first unambiguous portrayal of the Master's first incarnation.
