- The BBC Television Centre is located on Wood Lane. Its postcode is W12.
- The words "Totters Lane" is graffitied on a wall.
- The Doctor tells Ace that he is still not sure about the fifth story in the new season but reasons that the fans love it when they keep up with the programme's history and tradition and rhetorically asks what could be more traditional than a new lost story.

- The Doctor and Ace walk past a sign for Studio 8.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- When this story eventually saw print as the Doctor Who? instalment of DWM 161, the text and joke had changed completely. It's Even Bigger on the Inside was unable to offer an explanation as neither editor, artist or writer could recall why.
- The Fourth Doctor and Romana's appearances in this story allude to the unbroadcast television story Shada which had to cease production because of a strike. The "fifth story" the Seventh Doctor mentions is a reference to how all three of Sylvester McCoy's television seasons had just four stories within them.
