- The Target Managing Director says that now they are writing new adventures for the Doctor, he wants to make sure their authors remain faithful to the television format by making sure none of them create planets that look as if they cost more than four pounds and fifty pence.
- Outside Target Books, there is an old man, a car and a shop with an ongoing sale.

- This story accompanied a feature on the Target novelisation of Battlefield in DWM 175. With no new Doctor Who being made for television, that issue was also the beginning of Doctor Who Magazine's close association with the Virgin New Adventures.
