Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Steven asks the Doctor why he believes the Meddling Monk is behind the Viking invasion of England. The Doctor replies it is just a hunch, combined with the fact ABBA are providing on-board entertainment.
- ABBA sing part of "Dancing Queen", specifically "She was the dancing queen, finest legs I had ever seen".
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Although the plot of this story is an obvious reference to The Time Meddler, in that story the First Monk is trying to prevent William the Conqueror from defeating King Harold at the Battle of Hastings rather than the other way around. It is also set in 1066 rather than 1064.
- This story marked the second and final appearance of Steven Taylor in the Doctor Who? series.
