Regeneration of a Dalek was the first entry in the Secrets of the Daleks series printed in The Doctor Who Fun Book. Decades before The Witch's Familiar used the idea as a serious plot point, it proposed the regeneration of a Dalek with unlikely results — marking a parodical intent which means this story is not considered a valid source on this Wiki.
Summary
A Dalek bursts into light and regenerates (casing and all) into… a rubbish bin.
Characters
Worldbuilding
- The Dalek glows with regeneration energy as it regenerates itself.
Notes
- The idea of basing a joke around the Dalek casing's resemblance to a rubbish bin was used twice more in The Doctor Who Fun Book alone, as a background sight gag in Dalek Invasion of Ealing 1987 and as the main joke of Dalek Invasion - Salford 1987.
