The thirtieth instalment of Doctor Who? was printed in DWM 93 with a cover date of October 1984.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The High Council of the Time Lords are faced with a crisis so dire they need to call upon the assistance of the Ancient One for the first time in history.

Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The Ancient One must be called upon when nobody on the High Council knows the answer to a question.
  • The Ancient One was alternatively known as "She who came before Rassilon", and had not been summoned in all of Gallifreyan history up to this point.
  • The Ancient One is contacted via telephone and she tells the Council what the time is, reminding them to wind their watches in future.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • This story did not contain an annotation from Dicky Howett that indicated how many Doctor Who? strips he had drawn, making its production order in relation to other stories in the series unclear. From DWM 94 onward, Howett's annotation instead indicated the issue of Doctor Who Magazine each story was originally marked up for.
