Part-"choose your own adventure" prose story and part-board game, The Universe Marathon was one of the features in Dicky Howett and Tim Quinn's The Doctor Who Fun Book. A multi-Doctor story featuring the first six incarnations of the Doctor, it featured cameos by several other notable elements of the Doctor Who universe, but, due to its non-linear nature, it is not considered a valid source on this Wiki.

References
- The word "Finish" in Gallifreyan means "start" and vice-versa.
- The Doctor takes time away from the race to restore Charles II to the throne, to pause as he passes by Mariner 1 in the hope that it will take his picture, to explain the theory of relativity to an Ogron, to teach K9 to "sit", to aid the peasants' revolt of 1381
- The Doctor loses a companion to a cosmic raystorm, catches the plague, gets bitten by a Venus flytrap, accidentally causes the Great Fire of London, and eventually trips over a Cybermat, breaking his neck and regenerating.
- After the Doctor "destroys the Daleks once and for all", he throws a party which is immediately crashed by more Daleks.
- Peter Cushing loses his counter at some point.
Notes
- A footnote refers readers confused about the Snipes to the then-nonexistent Season 33 of Doctor Who, the implication being that the Snipes were a monster from the future of the show. In real life, the denomination of Season 33 is sometimes given to Series 7 of the revival, which did not, as a matter of fact, feature any aliens called the Snipes.
- Peter Cushing is identified by name, and thus appears to be appearing as an in-universe version of himself, not as his Doctor, although he is in costume as said Doctor.
