Portraits by Dicky Howett of himself and Tim Quinn were printed within Monster Marvel Memories, a compilation of some of the pair's collaborations.
Both portraits depicted Quinn and Howett at work in their respective professions as writer and artist, with Quinn's also featuring Hulk the Menace and Jet Lagg, while Howett's featured the Commenting Dalek who originated in Doctor Who Magazine.
Howett's commentary on the piece for Monster Marvel Memories described the two individuals illustrated simply as "two comic characters who pop up from time to time". In-universe versions of both Quinn and Howett did indeed pop up semi-regularly in their Doctor Who work, most notably in The Doctor Who Fun Book.
