Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]
Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The first issue of Doctor Who Weekly has images of the Fourth Doctor and a Dalek on the cover. It proclaims "The Daleks are back" and costs 12p.
- Ace congratulates the Doctor on the tenth anniversary of his magazine. An unseen voice thinks it would be a good idea for a book.
- Saying the word "anniversary" causes a giant copy of 10 Marvellous Years by Peter Haining to materialise. It is described as yet another anniversary celebration plus an obligatory programme guide.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Unusually for a Doctor Who? story, this story appears to follow on directly from the previous instalment, as the Doctor and Ace now have a copy of DWM 1.
- This story references Peter Haining's position as the author of several non-fiction books about Doctor Who. It specifically alludes to 25 Glorious Years, Doctor Who's official 25th anniversary book.
- A rare closing caption tells readers to watch out for Peter's 10½ year anniversary special.
- As indicated by an annotation from Dicky Howett, this story was drawn in 1989.
