- Tegan calls the Doctor "Doc".
- The Doctor still gets travel sickness after twenty years of time travel and Tegan suggests he should take his pills to remedy the problem.

- Tegan's figure of twenty attributed to the amount of years the Doctor has been time travelling refers to the amount of time that had passed since Doctor Who was first broadcast. DWM 82 was cover dated to the month of the programme's twentieth anniversary.
