The second, parodical, Doctor Who?-style comic in Tim Quinn and Dicky Howett's The Doctor Who Fun Book was entitled Introduction and poked fun at the relative unpopularity of Peter Davison's Fifth Doctor compared to a crowd-pleaser like Tom Baker's incarnation.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

In costume as the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison is as bemused as he is dismayed when a grinning, wide-eyed fan asks him for "Tom Baker's autograph".

Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The fan owns an autograph notebook marked with the letter A on the cover, which he offers to Davison.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Like many Doctor Who? stories, Introduction makes no pretence of being set in any version of the Doctor Who universe, instead presenting a satire of the real-life fandom.
