Timeline[[edit source]]

The First Rani[[edit source]]

At the age of eight, the Rani is taken from her family for the selection process into the Time Lord Academy. Staring into the Untempered Schism, the Rani is driven mad.
The Rani and the Master try to find the First Doctor after he flees from Gallifrey.
The Rani establishes builds a palace and rules the people of Miasimia Goria. She performs experiments upon the people to give them cybernetic enhancements. She then abandons the planet with the intent of returning. (TV The Mark of the Rani, AUDIO: Planet of the Rani)
The Rani is still in her first incarnation, according to the novelisation of Time and the Rani. The Rani references her time on Miasimia Goria.
Set during The Mark of the Rani.
The Rani escapes her out of control TARDIS, setting this shortly after The Mark of the Rani.
The Rani causes the Doctor to regenerate into his seventh incarnation.
Directly following on from Time and the Rani, the Rani escapes from the Tetraps.

The Second Rani[[edit source]]

Going by the guise of Prof. Baxton, the Rani's experiments are thwarted by the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown. The Rani has regenerated since last meeting Peri in The Mark of the Rani. The Rani admits she was trying to lure the Seventh Doctor.
After being incarcerated in the Teccaurora Penitentiary by the Doctor for 90 years, the Rani is freed and climbs the ranks to the governer. Using the minds of all of the prisoners, the Rani returns to Miasimia Goria with the intent to continue ruling where she left off. The Doctor shifts the timeframe by sixteen years, allowing the people to raid her palace and otherthrow her rule.

The War[[edit source]]

Father Kreiner kills the Rani as part of the War, which is later undone by the Eighth Doctor in The Ancestor Cell.
