This page lists appearances of Dan Lewis in the order in which he experienced them. This timeline is based upon observations of the Doctor Who universe and the events that occur during each of these stories. From these observations we have attempted to build a concise timeline. It is assumed, much like its TV story counterparts that for each novel, comic story and audio series their published/numbered order is the order they occur in. This does not apply to short stories which are often ambiguous about their placement. There are also many gaps between stories.

Early life[[edit source]]
Meeting the Doctor[[edit source]]
- Dan is kidnapped on Halloween.
- Set directly after The Halloween Apocalypse.
- Set directly after War of the Sontarans.
- The Doctor sends out a warning about the Flux, while Yaz and Dan help her pilot her TARDIS. Yaz and Dan are wearing their clothes from the first three chapters of Flux.
- (EPILOGUE)
- After Dan and Yaz change into new clothes, a Weeping Angel uses Yaz's phone to hijack the TARDIS. (TV: Once, Upon Time)
- Set directly after Once, Upon Time.
Separated from the Doctor[[edit source]]
- Dan has spent three years stranded in the early 1900s with Yaz and Jericho since the events of Village of the Angels.
Reunited with the Doctor[[edit source]]
- Set directly after Survivors of the Flux.
- Dan recalls the events of The Vanquishers as occurring "last week", though it should be noted that he spent an unspecified amount of time away from the TARDIS near the end of the story. The Doctor repairs the damage caused to the console room during the events of Flux. The Doctor plans to take Yaz and Dan to search for the lost treasure of the Flor de la Mar, leading into Legend of the Sea Devils.
- The TARDIS is pulled slightly off course during their search for the Flor de la Mar, however they do eventually discover what happened to it. Dan gets in contact with Diane again for the first time since The Vanquishers.
- Dan recalls the events of It's Behind You in a way that implies the events are still fresh on his mind.
- The Doctor takes Dan and Yaz on a beach holiday, and as they spent the period between The Vanquishers and Legend of the Sea Devils aiming for such a destination, that implies this takes place afterwards.
- After a near-death experience in a confrontation with the CyberMasters, Dan chooses to return home, saying goodbye to the Doctor and Yaz. Later, Dan catches up with Yaz after she is returned home by the Doctor. Together, they meet with other former companions.
