Spoilers are strongly policed here.
If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.

This page lists appearances of the Ninth Doctor from WC: Scream of the Shalka in the order in which he experienced them. This timeline is based upon observations of the Doctor Who universe and the events that occur during each of these stories. From these observations we have attempted to build a concise timeline. It is assumed, much like its TV story counterparts that for each novel, comic story and audio series their published/numbered order is the order they occur in. This does not apply to short stories which are often ambiguous about their placement. There are also many gaps between stories.

Limiting factors[[edit source]]

Any stories with Alison Cheney must postdate Scream of the Shalka. Any stories with the Robot Master must postdate Doctor Who - The Ninth Doctor.

Ninth Doctor[[edit source]]

Unclear Origins[[edit source]]

According to another account, the Eighth Doctor regenerates and retires on Gallifrey, only to lose the woman he loves as an alien race attacks the planet, the Doctor and the Master defeat the aliens but at the cost of the Master's final body.
The Master is rebuilt as a robot and the Time Lords survive in the Matrix and begin to send the Doctor on missions.
At the end of one account of the Time War, the Eighth Doctor regenerates.
According to yet another account, the Ninth Doctor splits off from the Eighth Doctor during his adventures with Charley Pollard and is stabilized separately by the Sisterhood of Karn.

After Regeneration[[edit source]]

The Doctor spends some time lodging at the Eighth Doctor's Camden flat with his eighth incarnation and a singing man as "Reg" during 1969. He does not possess much in the way of corporeal structure at the time.
Set during Now or Thereabouts. After watching the singing man leave, Reg eventually fades away with the Eighth Doctor being unsure if he was ever real to begin with.
The Doctor does not yet trust the Robot Master, suggesting a setting earlier in their travels.

Adventures with Alison Cheney[[edit source]]

The Doctor encounters Alison Cheney who begins to travel with him.
The Ninth Doctor encounters the Eighth Doctor taken out of time on the verge of his regeneration by Davros. The Doctor also meets Ace again.

After Alison Cheney[[edit source]]

The Doctor and Master trust each other a lot, suggesting a placement far into their travels.
