This page lists the order of stories in the timeline of the continuity which began in the film Dr. Who and the Daleks.

Timeline

The Daleks evolve from humanoids, as described in The Daleks.
NOTE: In an attempt to return home from Skaro, TARDIS lands in front of a caveman.
NOTE: In an attempt to return home from Skaro, TARDIS lands in front of an army of Romans.
NOTE: Dr. Who has completed TARDIS, which is accidentally sent on its first trip in space and time.
TOM: The date? Oh I see, you want to know if I'm alright. Yes, it's March the 31st, now can I use your telephone?
The Dalek City is constructed. The Daleks gain space travel.
The Emperor orders the conquest of space, leading into The Amaryll Challenge.
The first Dalek invasion force lands on Amaryll, the closest planet to Skaro. The Emperor then orders the invasion of Solturis, leading into The Penta Ray Factor.
The Emperor is called back to Skaro, leading into Plague of Death.
An alien spacecraft lands on Skaro, leading into The Menace of the Monstrons.
The Daleks repel an alien attack, partly destroying the Dalek City.
A few months after The Menace of the Monstrons, the Dalek City is rebuilt. Following an attack on their space forces by the Mechanoids, the Emperor orders a search for inventions in space in preparation for war.
The Daleks conquer the planet Phryne.
The Daleks capture Skardal and sent it to Mechanus, leading into Impasse.
The Terrorkons are disturbed, leading onto The Terrorkon Harvest.
The Emperor orders the exploration of Skaro, leading onto Legacy of Yesteryear.
Centuries after Genesis of Evil.
The Emperor declares that human beings are to be destroyed.
The Emperor declares "all-out war" on all humans everywhere.
The Daleks elect to search for Earth.
The Daleks' invasion is initially repelled, but they vow to return, leading into Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.[1]
DR. WHO: I fear he means that the Daleks are using Mars as a forward base... for a future invasion of Earth.
DR. WHO: I'm afraid you can't use the telephone. For one thing we haven't got one. And even if we had, I don't think it will do any good, not in 2150 AD.
DR. WHO (Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.): TARDIS took us by accident to the Dalek planet Skaro, but perhaps that was sometime in the future.
NOTE: On its first trip, TARDIS arrives on the planet Skaro, where Dr. Who and company meet the Thals and the Daleks. The Daleks are seemingly all destroyed.
